clipper.. i was only trying to help dave in mn ..in his descion. he said he was thinking of only replacing seals and gaskets .i was suggesting the engine parts be inspected and tested for wear and any excessively worn parts be replaced while the engine was down.after 50 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery i surely hope i know a little more than some one that has no real first hand knowledge . just because a piece of equipment has some operating time on it don't mean every moving part needs to be machined or replaced . after i made my post some one else jumped in the middle of what i said so that was my retort .dave will have to decide for himself who to listen to as do others that ask for advice here.
