I used to use a 340 on a horse farm when I was a teenager, We used it to pull a spreader and bush hog. It was a great tractor but hard to start. We parked it on a hill and rolled it off alot. I'm sure now that it was probably a simple charging system problem. One day while coming up out of a pasture the forman hit a rut and sheared the bolster off at the bolts, no one had ever noticed that the front 2 bolts were missing!!! I wish I had some pictures of that to post, it sheared off , the nose dug into the ground, the governer kicked in and it came back up and went a few feet before the foreman could get his food on the clutch. No one was hurt and 4 bolts later we were back to work. Jon
