Bad snow 2-7-03 ?

Need advice from you guys out west and up north.1700est wife just told me the news is calling for snow on friday and I need to get off my butt and fix the switch for the four wheel drive in her Jimmy. How much time do I have, just got the switch on tuesday.How bad is the east coast going to get it, 20deg and windy all day today.
