656 finesse move

Have both axle seals leaking badly on my 656. Took the use of a 6' breaker bar to bust loose the bolts that clamp the hub to the axle. Once I get one wheel off the ground, anybody have any suggestions on the slick (proper) way to move the wheel off the axle and not drop it with either me under it or my shop wall coming down because of it?
