Steven, I agree with Steven@nd regarding not getting the antifreeze mixed in the system. If you didn't run the tractor enough for the thermostat to open you probably had very little circulation and mixing. I don't know what the minimum mixure is, but I know that it doesn't take much antifreeze (ethylene glycol) added to water to keep it from freezing solid and breaking the block as it just gets slushy. I use Fleet Farm Durex antifreeze all the time and have had no trouble with it. Roger
