SOunds like you have the remote hydraulics on your H.There should be a valve attached to the same pipe you filled it up with oil at.Then there are two rods,one goes to that vavle the other goes to the liftall.You have to have the one to the liftall pulled back and locked in place for the other to work.From you description you did that at least once since your engine bogged down a little.As for 5th,thats road gear,it will be hard to get it going quickly,its like that.
