I use ratchets straps that has about 24" of 3/8 chain on each end. Their rated at 6,000 each and I use four on each tractor. If I were to roll the whole thing over I don't think it would make much difference what I had my tractors tied down with. Another important factor is the strength of the attaching point on your truck or trailer. But like the other posts I set the brakes and put the tractor in reverse or first with my TA forward. Check your tie downs often.
