Nope, sorry. Every distributor and magneto I've had apart has its own set of reduction gears to reduce the actual rotor speed to 1/2 of engine speed. The distributor timing gear is driven from the camshaft and has the same size gear as on the crankshaft so it turns the same speed as engine. Take apart a magneto or distributor some time, there are a set of reduction gears to the rotor.
