Yes the sleeves and pistons were updated. My opinion is that one or more injector nozzles are leaking, but the starving of fuel would cause the engine to run rough until the system pressured up. Maybe a pump problem? I do not know where to start, it seems the mixture is very rich, and I noticed that after running that the engine for a few hours temp hardly moves. I have checked for oil blow by at the breather tube and it shows no sign of oil. Could the valves need re adjusted? Still thing the root problem is with air as you mentioned, or injector or pump problem. Any more thoughts.
