About 1950, Dad built a cab for our WC- 2x2 wood frame covered with masonite, windshield was from his dad's '36 Chrysler. Nothing pretty, but for winter manure hauling and spring plowing, it sure helped. Used the mtd corn picker engine covers to guide engine heat into the cab. In recent years a neighbor had a commercial-built cab on his older Farmalls, similar to your idea, but made with steel.
