Paul: That's the kind of wife any guy needs--congratulations! Tools make some of the best gifts you can give--they can start people on a lifetime of using them. My grandparents started each of their 3 (at the time) grandsons off with a Craftsman tool box and a few tools in 1978, and every Christmas from then to now there was sure to be something under the tree in a Craftsman box. It didn't have to be much--a few screwdrivers or a new ratchet, but it was there every year. Gramp died 3 years ago, but every time I use those tools I can still see him behind me, showing us kids how to appreciate a good job done, how to care for your tools, little tricks to make jobs easier, and all the things that grandfathers do. I know my love of old tractors, engines, and mechanical things in general stems directly from those tools and the thought behind the gift, and I hope I can be as good of a role model to my future grandchildren as he was to us.
