It must be strong enough. Whem I was a kid in North Missouri, one of our neighbors would drive his front wheels up into the back of an old Chevrolet half ton, close the tail gate and take off. No chains, no nothing!. When he started off, it beat on the tailgate. When he stopped, it beat on the oil pan. I don't know how he, the truck or tractor survived in those hills. His son is thepastor of a church there now and when we were there on vacation this summer, I asked if he remembered it. He did, but, was hoping no one else did.
