It would be rare for me NOT to use the TA, kinda like some other things, ya gotta use it to keep it workin. As both the 544U and F460 are used for hog movin and equipement transporting and storage the TA is often pulled back for a lower reverse speed while backin stuff in or up. Just 2 easy rules for TAs. Move the lever quickly and smoothly. NEVER use it to freewheel down a hill, leave it in DD. We have had tractors with TAs on the place for near 45 years, have never had to fix a TA, and we keep them at least 10 years. farmer kev
