If you are looking at restoring any H as a purely dollars and cents proposition you will almost allways.have more than it is worth in it. I have a 1941 M that I got for free. This tractor was about in condition you describe H but had no major mechanical problems and I still have about $2000 in it. New tires, seat, battery box, front wheels, gaskets, seals, used gas tank, used hood, used distribitor and the list goes on. Having said this I still have no regret about the project and might do an H soon.
