I was using my Farmall Super C yesterday to plow the drive from the deep snow we got here in Pennsylvania. When I noticed I was getting low on fuel, I lowered the bucket, idled the tractor and went for the gas can. After refueling (carefully), I pulled the throttle back for acceleration, but the tractor stayed in idle. I made sure the long rod from the throttle to the governor did not come out of place, and I also checked the linkage rod from the carb to the governor. All was intact. The only way I could rev up the engine was to put my hand on the carb throttle and physically "open it up". It revved up the engine, but I noticed that the governor was still working as I could feel the resistance as I tried to hold it in the open position. Please suggest- this tractor is my workhorse and 'ol reliable.
