I have owned a 656 gas for 19 years and have had good luck with it. Did a major overhaul 2 years ago, sleeves etc. Easy to work on. Things to watch out for, worn shifting linkage. This was a weak point. They have an upgrade for this from IH but it runs around $400. I reworked mine and it works well now. They are a vesitle tractor. I pull a 15 foot bat wing with mine, plant and grind feed. Mine is a narrow front end, not much good in snow. Try Tri-Green auction in London Ohio. They auction 200-300 tractors every month, last Wedsday of the month.
