While restoring my Dad's 1938 F-14, which my grandfather had bought new, I had the opportunity to remove the small dent in the air cleaner cup. I asked Dad how it happened to be there in the first place. Dad then told me the story of how it happened, along with a few other close calls he and his brother had while growing up on the farm. Dad had made such an impression on me with those stories, that I left that little dent just right where it was.
