My answer about the pto is just an educated guess but here goes. The live pto is certainly possible, dollar wise is another question. The complete pto unit bolts into that blank cover on the back of the tractor, IF ,the tractor has the drive shaft in place under the transmission. You would have to remove the back cover plate. [drain tran/hyd system first] Look inside of housing and see if the shaft is there. It should be a splined stub. Maybe the quickest way to tell is to see which type of hyd. pump it has. If it has the 9gpm pump mounted on the front of the engine under the distributor, shaft is not likely. If it has a blank cover plate under the distributor then it probably has the 12 gpm transmission mounted pump. The trans. mounted pump drives off the same shaft as the pto so it is probably in place, and can be used. Hope answer didn,t confuse too much. contact me if more info needed.
