I remember as a little guy in the early 1960's on the farm across the road from home. They were pull starting there little "A" Tractor(dead battery I guess) with there much larger Super "M". Well the wife let the clutch out a little to hard and they had the chain tied to the front axle.#%@?%#. Well they hanked the front axle right off her, Breaking at the front of the engine block. They picked up the pieces and hauled them to the local blacksmith/mechanic who was well known for his skill with castiron "engine blocks etc". And he manage to but her back together. And they used that tractor till they sold there farm in 1968. It was my brother that bought the farm and all its equipment. We already had a little farmall 100 our father had purchased in the mid 50's. So the "A" was traded in at the local dealer for a cultivator or something. I wonder if that "A" still in one piece. If the old blacksmith was still living I would send you to him. But he passed away 20/25 years ago. Good luck and I hope you find a used block for it.

Flax provided the fibre which w
