the tube can be pushed forwardinto its housing about a 1/2 inch so you can see what you're doing. i think i did mine with the carb bolted to the manifold with the nuts loose, and i also loosened the screws that hold the tube in position on the governor housing. small hands help as well. it does take some trickery to do it though. the governor cover comes off with a few bolts if you still need more access to manipulate the parts. good luck with it and if you can't get it i'm in the st cloud mn area. (remember teams from your town playing foley when i was in school) -karl
