If it's just a whine, that's pretty normal on these. If it's a clunk in, as you say, all gears, it's probably the aluminum oil slinger gear has lost a tooth. It will live with it for awhile, but, will porbably cause a lot more damage as the teeth get between the other gears and break the transmission case. That particular gear needs to be replaced new. The other gears can come out of an A, C, Super C, or whatever. If it's kind of a groaning sound, one or more of the bearings in the tope of the transmission are probably shot. I say, the upper bearings, because they are not submerged in oil and winter and springtime moisture take their toll on an idle tractor.
