I agree Jerry. Been some recent conversation on just what was available from factory on the late F-20's. I have heard both ways on the electric start. I know of many of the changes but really can't put an actual year to most of them. The short oil filter and voltage regulator change I am pretty sure was in the late 40's. I talked to a guy one time that said he could tell pretty much what year an original factory H was just by looking at this or that. I have pretty much always had access to a serial number chart and didn't pay to much attention to the guy. I wish now I would of paid a little more attention to the guy and inquired about how he could tell the difference from one year to the next. It didn't seem to be useful information at the time, but with more and more tractors being peiced together and altered, it would be some useful information to a restorer.
