I am in the process of putting my H back together after reringing it. I had the same problem you do, except that it wasn't froze at all. I know this sounds kind of silly, but on the back of the head there is an oil line going to the air cleaner. It goes throught he bracket holding the steering linkage and needs to be completely removed. This is very easy to over look, but maybe you already knew that. It took up four guys and 15 minutes before we figured that one out. This was on a distillate head, so a gas might be different. Hope this helps
