I want to lay down and cry. No one would give 2000 for a 966? I am just heartstruck about hearing that. I am looking for an 826, but would DEFINATLY jump on a 9 for that much (or little, whichever). What the heck was wrong with it? I'm yet to find an 826 for under 5 in any condition. I am thinking there must have been a problem with the tractor or had really high hours without overhaul or something. Man, that is depressing. Otherwise, I lost a Super H a couple years ago because it sold for 2750. Then again, figured it only had about a thousand hours, ALL original paint (and boy did it glisten after we wiped 15 (or more) years of dust off it. Starting right up after new points plugs and gas. I was offered 700 for it the day before (he was a very good friend of mine) because someone said it would only bring 3 or 4 hundred at auction. Why, OH WHY, was I dumb enough to say, "Hey, I can save 3 or 4 hundred bucks!!!" when in reality it was "I can save two thousand bucks!!!" Oh well. I think that is ballpark for a Super H, although in the condition you describe, I think a logical price would have been around 15-1800. Oh well. Learn from your regrets (or any other lessons life teaches us).

Since this can be extremely difficult, you may want to fabricate the item or purchase a modern replacement temporarily, but eventually, you s
