I have some ground in this program and like it. You really need to go to your FSA office and look into this. There are several programs as to what the gound is planted to and how the rental rate is figured, also what maintance is required and what they pay for the maintance in additional to the land rent. There was cost share funds available when I put my ground in the program to help with the cost of planting. I planted Native Grass, Red Clover for a food plot for wild game and Wild Flowers. Only your FSA office can give you the correct information about the program that would apply to your farm.
