We had a less servere incident like that out our school back on the 1st anniversery of 9-11. Our school is about 200 feet from the town's water tower and before school had started that fall, a company came in and put a 140 feet tall tarp around it in order to sandblast the lead based paint off of it and keep the dust out of the air. On 9-11 of 2002, a strong wind picked up and started tearing pieces of the tarp off the tower while they were sandblasting. Several minutes later, security guards started telling all the teachers to shut their windows. Since it was the day it was, everyone in the school went into a state of panic thinking we were having a biological attack, when really they were just worried about the students breathing in a little lead paint from the nearby sandblasting... For a lot of people, it was a stressful day, but it was kind of funny when you think about it...
