The way I grind my blades is that I try to follow the original contour. If you don't think you will hit alot of bolders and rocks, Then you could sharpen the blades with less angle of which will help the bush hog cut cleaner and need less power to cut. The only disadvantage of a sharper blade is that the sharp edge can be worn down quicker and is more susceptibale to rock damage. Also be carefull not to over heat the blade with the grinding wheel (try to prevent any blue color) for the blade edge will become softer and wear quicker. I usually finish off the final edge by sharpening with a file so as to prevent that problem. Thanks Ray in Pa.
