We have a 480, 7.5 spacings, a little wider, I think. Can be fun to manually fold up those wings on ours. Quite a few blades out there, and if there's any dirt stuck to them, it takes some effort, even with the springs. Good disk, we use a IH 500 w/ 24 in. notched blades and 12 in. spacing in the fall in stalks, chisel or V-Rip if we can, use the 480 in the to do bean and wheat stubble, then chisel or V-Rip, and 480 over the stalks again to really chop up them if needed. On all disks with wings, make sure someone didn't run it with the wings up for a long time. The center blades will be smaller, it will never level dirt properly. Ours had this problem, had to replace all blades. Seems to be built heavy enough, unlike the 470's. Quality machine. AG
