my brother and i went saturday to Perry Bros IH/Case in Lawrenceburg TN and picked up the tractor. Mr. Perry, the older gentleman who worked on it for several weeks said it was the dirtiest and toughest job he had done in a long time. said that even thought the tractor is in great shape sheet metal and engine wise, it was obvious that all the seals were never worked on before (badddddly leaking). he replaced them all, tuned it up, new wires, clutch kit, brake bands, lights working, muffler and new air cleaner "mushroom" cap. 1800.00 total (700 parts/1100 labor). he said that with very little pitting in the sheet metal that a good paint job would make it look really good, and he wanted me to send him a picture after i get her painted. i took it back to Hohenwald and fired it up and rode my kids around the back 13 acres, just like my papaw used to do me when i was little. i cant wait to bust up my mothers garden and disc it with my little 53 beauty! i would also like to know if anyone knows where i could buy a front grader blade for it? i know it was kinda long, but i want to say thanks to all you guys for your advice on stuff in my restoration quest. the mechanical part is done, now the "make-er-shine" paint part is next. will keep you posted. pat peery

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
