If you monitor discussion on this site as I do everyday, I think I would look awfully hard for original 856 engine. I have never had any experience with larger 56 series tractor engines. I have with the DT414 in a 1066. The consences on here is 56 series engines were far more durable. The 414 will not generate horse power as efficiently. There has been many stories on here of 06 and 56 series tractors lugging the same disc or cultivator just as fast on substancially less fuel.
