Bill's post below summarizes the issues pretty well. There's another downside however: Fuel economy will be 10% to 15% less. In other words plan on burning 10 - 15% more kerosene than gas to do the same amount of work.

Around here kero runs 10 - 15 cents more than gas. Add higher fuel cost, then the aggravation and frustration of keeping a tractor running on kerosene, it's a money-losing proposition all the way. I'd forget about it!
