I have a 454 that starts and runs well but, when you make a sudden move to increase the throttle, it falls flat on it"s face and dies. If you ease the throttle up it is fine and runs out good. If you start out in third high, and the governor reacts to the load, the tractor also dies instantly. If I choke it as it dies, it will recover. I have cleaned the carb, installed new points, replaced the coil, checked for manifold vacuum leaks, still no improvement. The tractor does seem to run a litle on the rich side but there are no carb adjustments other than the idle mixture screw. Anyone have any input to my problem?
