She had a beautiful life, and to tell you the truth, although my friends say I'm plain insane when it comes to tractors, I would find a nice little spot on your farm that you don't farm and dig a hole and bury it with a little marker saying 407 and then the serial number with 17000 hours. I couldn't bear laying it somewhere to rust openly for the rest of its life. Yeah, that one it shot. Go ahead and put that 414 in, it should work fine. If it's turbocharged, keep it around 120 hp because we had horrible issues with sleeves on our 1066 (OH every 3,000 hours), although we had it pumping 235 hp, but we tuned it down to 180, used half the fuel, made 4000 hours after that OH when we traded it off. I'm going to find that tractor back. Good luck, sounds like your 856 has had a very good life, and with a new engine you can make sure the rest of it lasts as long as the 414, too.
