Ernie: I hear you talking, my children are now in their 30s thus come with inlaws and friends that have never driven a tractor. I have Farmalls Super A, 130 and 140. Our daughter and husband came one day with his parents His maternal grandparents had been IH dealers in the 1950s. His mother spied my Super A and said," I learned to drive on a Super A." A great thing to be able to say I learned to drive on a letter series Farmall. My dad had a kid next door rakeing hay commercially when he was eight years old. This kid worked some long hours as my dad's average hay production was around 2,500 bales per day. This kid went on to become a long haul trucker. At 45 he is still at long haul trucking and has never put more than a slight scratch on a motor vehicle. Those old tractors were the driving schools of the nation. My dad milked 40 cows and had time to teach 5 sons plus probably a dozen other kids in neighborhood to safely operate a tractor. Some of the tractors were W4, H, 300, 130 and 560.

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
