Duh...Duh! Many were not painted red. It was optional, but recommended by the factory. My demonstrator Cub remained white until recent years. The original owner got tired of the reflection from the hood, so he got the paint brush out. He didn't mind that the white got really ugly looking. I have photos of many original demonstrators. The one in the photo belongs to J.P.Tractor Salvage. George Willer
