well, after going out and trying to break my sugaring roads and not accomplishing much other than getting stuck a couple times with my 2wd International 484, I got to thinking... I know where there is a junk Interational 784 with a 4x4 front end. The owner had told me the front end was shot after he had used it constantly on bare cement and because it was about the 3rd or 4th time he had to rebuild it, he had gotten mad and said he threw the parts away. I'm thinking if it wouldn't be too expensive to repair, and I'm sure I could get the tractor for alittle nothing, I just might do it. here are my questions! 1) how much trouble would it be to convert my 2wd 484 to four wheel drive using the parts off the 784?. 2) what parts are easy to take out that might have gotten thrown away?, I know the driveshaft is gone. 3) How much does would cost to rebuild the front end? also what would the parts if they were all missing cost me?. Thanks in advance!
