Dave if you build one make it with two cylinders it lefts more even. No you don,t need a spool just put a tee between the two clyinders. Either front ports will work fine. And you won,t need but single hoses if you use single action. If you go double you will need to go to bottom of pumpfor return. I recomend a twin spool valve in case you want to run both 3pt and say a wheel disc. Double action is nice when using blade or posthole digger. Have fun building your 3pt.
