On the subject of fuel, my H owners manual says "Provision is made in the design of this tractor so that it may be equipped with either a gasoline, distillate or kerosene-burning engine." Note the conjuction OR denoting an alternative name for distilate in case it was not known as distilate in your local area. Here is a link for more info on oil refining from my employer Ashland Oil.
