The oil level in your belt pully housing is actually maintained by an impeller type of device in transmission. There is an overflow port for excess to flow back to transmission.

Sam is right on plug for level in transmission, its right below the front end of left fender. I have run across two tractors in my lifetime that didn't have this hole taped in casting. I own one of them. I have an old dipstick from a Chev car and marked it from another tractor.
