make sure that there is no groove on that bushing that the seal rides on. the belt pulley is lubed by the transmissionand it should be draining back to the transmission. take out the inspection plug on top of the belt pulley and see if it is staying full. if it is then poke around inthere with a piece of wire and clear out the return hole. My trans had about 2 inches of thick slime clinging to all the interior surfaces and all the oil holes were plugged solid. it took a lot of work to get it clean. I now change the oil with 85-140 once a year and no more problems. It shifts better with the heavier oil I use.
