The belly pump seal can be replaced without droping the unit once you have removed the access cover just to the rear of the belly pump and forward of the transmission. You will have to take out the cotter pins and remove the counter shaft for the belly pump. Now, the fun begins in removing the countershaft nut on the belly pump. Since the countershaft nut turns onto a spindle inside the belly pump it will losen by turning it counter-clockwise. You will have to give the nut a few hard jerks to free it and start easing it off the spindle. This part was frustrating for me since there is free play on the belly pump side. The transmission side you can put in gear to lock-up the countershaft nut. A large monkey wrench will free the countershaft nut on the transmission side. The countershaft nut on the transmission side will come off the same way so you might consider replacing the seal on the transmission housing at the same time. Once the countershaft nuts are removed it will be a simple removal of a few bolts for the cover plate where the seals are housed. Then carefully punch the old seals out and replace.
