You can buy a heli coil kit at the parts house., Pretty straightforward installation. Make sure the final coil is a LITTLE bit below the top of the block. We use them all of the time on 600-to 700 horse racing engines with 13:1 compression ratio, so I don't think 6.5 or 7.5 compression ratio will cause any trouble.
