Thanks Bill & Bus Driver. My float needle is steel. The float does not leak & is not bent. The only time I have gas leakage is when I accidentally over choke when starting. The gas leaked out of the old air cleaner hose. Now with the new {non-leaky} hose hooked up, I was concerned about gas laying in the new hose that can't leak out.I am thinking about leaving the float as it is, at 1 1/2". Otherwise, the motor runs fine. I started my Milwaukee Page garden tractor yesterday, over choked it {accidentally of course} & gas ran out after the carb also. Thanks, Ken
