Our M was converted to 12 volt before we got it. Everyone seems to be talking about a switch of some kind. Our M has a toggle switch in it but I am not sure where it fits in in the wireing, would have to look at it. This toggle switch has to be turned on and it lets the power flow somehow, the alt gauge will show power, won't if you don't flip this switch. You can turn this switch on then off again, doesn't have to be left on and power will still continue to flow but has to be flipped on before any power will flow. But if you forget to shut this switch off it will kill the battery overnight. Must cause a dead short or something when left on. If you want any info on how this is wired drop me an e-mail and I will look at it and tell you how the wires are running. good luck Terry
