I had an H steering wheel that was real bad (hardly no rubber left) when I restored it. I had to buy some rear rims from salvage yard. While there I asked the guy if he had a desceant H steering wheel. He just happened to have a good one with all the rubber on it. Only had 3 small cracks. One at each spoke. I decided that it was good enough for me. I have noticed that some of the recoated wheeles are somewhat different than the rubber was from factory. I like the original wheel rubber myself even if it has a small crack or two. Kind of a shot in the dark, but you might see if you can find a good original one in a salvage yard. Otherwise, other people on here will probably instruct you as to wear you can get it recoated or buy a repo.
