We also had a Monkey Ward Hammermill bought new. Used it on a 38 A JD, on a WC Allis, and finally on a 48 H IHC. It was around an 8in. It only had the standard pipe. We used it until one of the hammers went up the side of the pipe and out. That ended the hammermill. The blower funnel and a section is still in dads barn over the feed box he would grind in, over the cow parlor that we milked 12 cows in. I have a gehl hammermill, which is like the whetmore variety, a 6in and the feed table is pposite the pulley. STAY AWAY FROM THEM> Ive had it since 69. It will grind corn alright, if youve got the time, but It wont do anything with hay except plug it up constantly. Get a hamermill that has the feed table at a 90o angle from the belt pulley. make it 8in which is what I think all of the 8in came in anyway, and get alla the screens, should be at least 3. ou will have to pull the belt rather tight when grinding, or it will throw off, and if it does that, yu take a chance of it plugging. Then you will have fun. I bought a sheet of 16ga for $25.oo and placed under mine (did it too late), but itall save the bottom of your hammermill. Jst punch holes in it where you will be fastening it down. Also helps in mowing around it

We traveled for six and a half hours to our destination - a little country town with a population of no more then one hundred and fifty people (57 of them being children under the age of thirteen). We arrived hoping to meet up with a man we knew had over one
