Turbo's work best with injected motors. While it can be done, like early 1965 Mustangs with Paxton type blowers, it's tough to get the carburetors to take the boost pressure. If you can equalize the pressure both inside and outside the carb it can be done. I've thought about doing this also to automotive V-8's, but it's easier with a blower that's between the carb and intake manifold, that pulls air through the carb instead of pushing it. Good luck.
