As mentioned below, putting one twist in the belt will change the direction of pulley travel on what you are belting up to. Putting 2 twists will be the same travel as not having any twists. I have an all iron pulley for my H (not a compressed paper pulley like you commonly see). My all iron pulley is slightly larger in diameter size then the paper pulleys. I was told that it was for running a hammer mill. It is just guessing 2 to 4 inches larger in diameter. Never run a hammer mill with it so I don't know if the oversized pulley is nescisary.
