The seal in the H4 mag doesn't have to seal oil, just dust and dirt. The replacement seal I bought for mine was made of leather and fit the shaft well. After getting your replacement seal, check to see if it will contact the shaft all the way around. If not, you may see if a local bearing supply has a Spedi-Sleeve. It is a thin steel sleeve that fits tightly over the shaft that provides a new contact surface with the seal.
