I energetically tore apart my H a long time ago to replace both ends of the PTO engagement, as both ends were completely worn out. I've removed everything up to the transmission countershaft, which I'm having some trouble getting out. I removed the screw-on bushing on the front of the shaft, and the snap ring on the back. I was assuming the shaft has to come out the back and all the gears slide off inside the tranny, but I can't seem to get it out that way. One problem may be that the bushing on the rear is really buggered up, so the bearing can't come off first (if it is suppose to). How does the rear bushing attach to the countershaft? Either I am missing something obvious, or I am missing something obvious. Please help! On a related note, the picture of the two engaging parts (bushings) shown in the parts book do not look like what I have in the tractor. I'm looking at pg 226, part 18 and 18A. Tractor serial number is 26266, so this should be the right arrangement (everything else looks the same). Thanks, Craig
